When you purchase a house plan, you will receive a pdf file of the construction plan set which includes floor plans, elevations, foundation plan, roof plan, electrical plans and a typical detail sheet.  Along with the set of plans, you also receive a license for the right to print and construct one house. Plans are set up to be printed on 36" x 24" architectural paper. Below is a sample construction set.
